Academics

   At Greenland Public School, Education for Life, Excellence in Education and Commitment to a meaningful Education are of prime importance. Quality education is provided to each and every child. GPS believes that love for education should be developed for children in initial years and conditions should be created for them to pursue a positive approach in life.

   A unidirectional teaching method is being increasingly substituted by a multidirectional group workshop method. Here the teacher becomes the group co-ordinator initiating work, nurturing students without the phobia of examinations and homework. Development of oral and written expression is emphasized upon. Home assignments are not a carry-over of classwork but oriented towards honing individual talents.

Accreditation

Greenland Public School, is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is the largest educational board in the country and is duly recognized by the Department of Education, Government of NCT Delhi.

Curriculum

The School has students enrolled from grade Nursery to grade 12. In the 11th and 12th all students prepare for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (also a national exam). The students are offered the following combinations of subjects:

Summer Season:-

  For Boys : ( From Nursery to Std. XII) White background with Light Green Strips Shirt, dark green colour half/Full pant, tie with light yellow stripes on green base, black shoes and green shocks with light yellow band. White shirt & pant and P.T shoes with white socks for Wednesday. House T- Shirts and white pant with white P.T. shoes and white socks on Saturday.

  For Girls :- (From Nursery to Std VII) White background with Light Green Strips Shirt, dark green skirt, tie with light yellow stripes on green base , black shoes and green shocks with light yellow band. White shirt and white skirt P.T. shoes and white socks for Wednesday. House T-Shirts and white pant with P.T. shoes and white socks on Saturday.

For Girls : – (From Std. VII to Std. XII) Light green coloured Salwar-Suit with dark-green dupatta and black shoes with green socks having light yellow bands. White coloured Salwar- suit with white duptta and white P.T. Shoes with white socks on Wednesday. White coloured Salwar- Suit with house- coloured dupatta and white P.T. Shoes with white socks on Saturday

Winter Season :-

In addition to summer uniform bottle green colour Blazer / Sweater with V.Shaped neck or cardigan for boys and girls respectively and Dark green trousers for boys.
   For ( Std. I to V) In addition to summer uniform V. shaped Bottle Green colour pullover with yellow band for boys and girls respectively.
   For (Std. VI to XII) In addition to summer uniform bottle green colour Blazer for boys and girls respectively.
